I opened an etsy store!

The best type of friends are friends that believe in you! And thanks to many of them encouraging and appreciating my handmade cards, I took the leap and opened an Etsy store, CardsAndClips. Hopefully I can keep listing more cards and you can help spread the word about my very tiny shop!

For now, being the month of Ramadan, I thought that an Eid card would be a great first listing! As I also love to blog and share the cards I make, I thought that I would share pictures here to, in case someone is inspired to make their own cards this Ramadan.

#footballsunday 4.1 : Seahawks Baby Banner

My last post lead to a "spoke to soon" moment! Just as I posted it and complained about playing the waiting game, we were at the hospital within hours and holding Aleena before the end of the day :)

Aleena Sarker was born at 230 PM on March 31st (a day before her due date!) weighing at 7 lb and 6 oz and measuring 20 inches long. She's only been with us a few weeks, but we are totally in love with our little kicker and can't imagine life without her now!

When we found out that we are expecting, the first thing I decided was that I wanted a Seahawks themed nursery, but once we started shopping for her, I just lost patience to search for Seahawks stuff. But she is set with tons of onesies!

Now that you have met Aleena, lets get back to crafts. Since my craft table is in her nursery, I am managing to get some crafting in here and there, although what usually took an hour will probably take weeks to finish now, but totally worth it! I had this banner die cut and ready, just wasn't 100% on her name and was also keeping it a secret so didn't bother finishing it then to share it.

One of my goals this year is to buy less use more of my crafting stash, so all the papers used in this project were leftovers I was hoarding from banners made in the past. I just tried to find colors that matched the Seahawks! I die cut the letters at Ben Franklin Crafts and Frames using the 1" vintage letters die and the pennant die is from Pretty Pink Posh. The paper fan stickers are from Pebbles picked up on from TJ Maxx.

Once all the diecutting was done all that was left was to stick it together! I used my pink ATG and some tacky glue, and that's it! Stick it on the door or wall and your done!

Lastly, since I haven't been blogging for a really really long time I thought that I would share a scrapbook layout that is the first of a set of pages I made to track Aleena's first year!  Details on supplies used are listed below. I can't believe that she was that small just a few weeks ago!

Supplies used:
