About Me

Hi! I'm the 20-something year old engineer behind this blog. I spend my days programming and baking/crafting by night. It took a little convincing and a bit of a push from some loving friends (you know who you are ;) ) to get the ball rolling.

I have no formal training and all credit goes to the amazing bloggers, YouTube and close friends that took time to share their recipes and tips. Without all of them I would still be baking cakes from box mixes.

I have grown up all over the world, finally settling down in Seattle with a loving and supportive husband, whose is willing to taste test all my experiments. I do a lot of experimenting and exploring with my recipes, which you will notice as I post more non baked recipe. Even though this blogger has "baker" in the name, soon after I got married, I came to a realization that I need to put more than dessert on the table. so I actually cook now, hopefully I can share some of those recipes too!

When not baking, I love enjoying the outdoors, hiking in the summer and snowboarding in the winter. Fortunately for me Seattle has tons of the mountains, snow and awesome views to keep me busy. For the less adventurous friends out there, there are plenty of other things to do, so come visit!

A side note, my pictures are taken using a phone camera most of the time, no fancy lighting equipment or a DSLR camera (my husband got my one for my birthday last year, BUT I don't use it in the kitchen in fear that it will look like my old laptop).

Feel free to contact me at engineeredbaker@gmail.com and ofcourse leave me comments!
